So bath time has been interesting lately.
I love bath time. It is so fun. It's a blast watching Ami play in the bath and I really look forward to that part of our day together. He loves splashing in the water and being silly, and making all sorts of funny faces while he enjoys his own private little swimming pool.
Ami looks at me with a big grin as if to say, "Mom, thanks so much for letting me have this in our house!"
I look back at him, smile, and with a knowing look silently reassure him that I'm more than happy for him to swim here every day.
But what do you do when what the bubble bath becomes a poo bath? I mean seriously. My boy fires, I quickly rescue him (as if the floating poo is lethal...because it is), mangage to trap the poo in a plastic cup (formerly one of his toys, now my combat weapon of choice), and then the cycle repeats. Just when I manage to get him clean, he fires and all hope seems lost.
(I thought the ducks were supposed to be the only thing floating during bath time?)
On poo bath evenings, I find myself cutting his "swim time" short to save him from his own pooey demise. After all, I'm his life guard. It's my job to protect him from hazardous objects and dangerous waters.
I'm sure you moms will have your fair share of poo stories and poo baths in your past. I know I am in for a wild ride and that my experiences of poo are only really just beginning. If you have any advice for poo baths, I'll take it and if not...sit back, pat yourself on the back and smile. You've survived this far and you've probably ventured into far more dangerous waters.
Well done and enjoy the funny stories and memories. I'd love to hear some!
